When the shipment is over, you should prevent further incoming data measured by the logger to be associated with this specific shipment. This will prevent irrelevant data from appearing on your reports and irrelevant alerts from being triggered. To achieve this, you need to end the Mission once the shipping ends.
Depending on the settings, you can end the mission in several ways:
- press End monitoring after the last scan
- the Mission ends automatically at a specified time
- the Mission ends automatically after the first scan
- end the Mission manually
Choose the option that fits your operations and workflow the best.
Press End monitoring on the smartphone after the last scan
After scanning at the final destination, the user presses the End monitoring button that appears on the screen of a smartphone or on the Logmore Scanpoint. This action automatically ends the Mission.
Enable this feature in Mission template or Mission settings under Scan page.
- Open the existing Mission template or Mission or create a new one.
- Under Scan page, check the box Alert status.
- Check the box "End monitoring" button.
All Missions created from this template will have this button visible on the Scan page. - To allow anyone without a Logmore account with access rights to be able to end monitoring, check the box Public end access.
Allowing public end access is useful if the operational team on the receiving end does not have Logmore accounts and is not a part of your Logmore team.
Follow this guide about Scan pages for further instruction. Check the instructions on receiving shipments with Logmore Scanpoint.
The Mission ends automatically at a specified time
To end the Mission automatically on a specified date and time, you should configure the Mission timeline in the Mission's settings. Use this function when you know the Mission's timeline in advance.
You can adjust the Mission's timeline when creating a Mission or when editing an existing Mission.
- Open the existing Mission or create a new one.
- Go to Advanced settings.
- Under Mission timeline, configure the Mission start time (the default is the current time).
- Set the Mission ending time, if you already know it.
The Mission ends automatically after the first scan
The Mission will end automatically after the logger linked to it has been scanned for the first time since the Mission's start. Use this function if the logger is only scanned at the receiver's end and not during the shipment.
Enable this feature in Mission template or Mission settings under Scan page.
- Open the existing Mission template or Mission or create a new one.
- Under Scan page, check the box Auto-end mission on first scan.
All Missions created from this template will have this feature enabled.
End the Mission manually
You can end the Mission manually in Logmore Cloud at any point.
- Go to Missions.
- Find the Mission in question on the list of all Missions and click on it.
- The Mission's individual page will open. Press End mission.
For bigger volumes, you can use the Mass scan feature in Logmore Cloud to end monitoring. Check the guide on using the Mass scan feature for further instructions.
