Scan data loggers with Logmore QR Scanning app for Android

Note: Logmore QR Scanner mobile application was developed for older Android-based smartphones that don’t support scanning a QR code with the device's camera application. Since the release of Android 9 (August 2018), also the Android smartphone users have been able to scan QR codes directly by opening the camera of their device and pointing it to the QR code.

If using Android version 9 or higher, Logmore recommends using the device camera application for scanning the Logmore Data Loggers. This opens the information of the scanned Data Logger on the browser of the smartphone.

To support the remaining users of the Logmore QR Scanner application, Logmore is also working to release an update that supports the latest Android version 13.

We recommend using our free Logmore QR Scanner app when scanning with Android phones that don't have a build-in camera QR scanner. You can find the Logmore QR Scanner app in Google Play Store: Logmore QR Scanner.

Advantages of the Logmore QR Scanner app

  • Saves scanned QR codes' URL links to history list that shows serial and scan date

  • Automatically opens Logmore Cloud after scanning a QR code

  • Allows scanning multiple QR codes quickly without opening Cloud every time (for more on the Bulk Scanning with Logmore QR Scanning App see below)

  • Has a flashlight to make scanning in dark places easy

Install Logmore QR Scanner app

Logmore QR Scanner App is available on Google Play for Android users.

  1. On your Smartphone, go to Google Play and search for Logmore QR Scanner or click this link to get directly to the App.
  2. Click "Install." Logmore App is free.

  3. Done!
  4. You can find the app on your phone's Apps page.

Scan with Logmore QR Scanner app

  1. Open the Logmore QR Scanning App.
  2. Press SCAN QR.
  3. Place a QR code inside the viewfinder rectangle visible on your screen
  4. Logmore Cloud will open automatically, and the new measurements are uploaded.
  5. Allow saving the location. If you ran into problems with saving the location (or the popup was not prompted), check this article for troubleshooting.
  6. Done!

Bulk Scan with Logmore QR Scanner app

The Logmore Scanner is capable of scanning multiple QR codes in rapid succession to maximize efficiency. 

  1. Open the Logmore QR Scanner app
  2. Click SCAN MULTIPLE QR

  3. Scan the first QR code
  4. Logmore Cloud will open automatically, and the new measurements are uploaded.
  5. Allow saving the location.
  6. Immediately go to scanning the next QR code

Activate the Flashlight 

Using a flashlight makes scanning easier in dark places. 

  1. Start scanning, either one QR at a time or bulk scanning
  2. Press the Volume + button on your smartphone.
    The Volume + button can typically be found on the right edge of a smartphone.
  3. The flashlight will be activated.
