Alert Rules

Adding new alert rules

Click on the "Missions" tab on the left-hand side navigation bar and select "New Mission". Alert rules will be automatically added to the mission if you select a premade mission template. If you do not use a premade mission template, select "continue without template", and enter the mission details manually. Whilst editing the mission, scroll down to "Alert rules" and click "Add new alert rule". This will add a new alert row to the rules, where you can now specify the alert parameters.

Alerts can be created for temperature, humidity, light and shocks.

You can also import pre-set rules from a template mission for faster alert set-up. Templates are highly recommended, if you have multiple missions that use the same alerts or tend to use the same alert limits often.

When an alert has been set for a mission, the alert rules will be visible on that mission's page in Logmore Cloud.

Alert delay

By setting a delay to the alert, you allow the alert to be triggered only after that many unacceptable measurements have passed. The delay value N + 1 (measurement) is when the alert is generated.

Examples:

  • Delay value 0 = alert at 1 measurement that is not within the set acceptable parameters
  • Delay value 1 = alert at the second measurement that is not within the parameters
  • Delay value 3 = alert at the fourth measurement outside the set parameters

The actual timeframe depends on both the delay setting and the measurement interval. For example, with a 2 measurement delay (delay value 2), the third time a measurement is consecutively outside the set parameters, an alert is generated. With a 10 minute interval, that means that the parameters have been broken continuously for 30 minutes.
